Case No. 7: Pelvi Ureteric Junction Obstruction

  • PUJ Obstruction can be Antenatally Detected.
  • On USG–> Antero-posterior Diameter of Renal pelvis more than 2cms requires surgery.
  • DTPA/EC Radio Nuclear Scan needs to be performed before surgery.
  • Open/Lap Anderson Hynes Pyeloplasty is the surgery of choice done as early as 1.5-2 months.
  • DJ Stent Removal to be performed 2 months after surgery.
  • Chemoprophylaxis is to be continued till follow-up scan.
